Battery Trouble

#1 Post by bertie343 » Thu Oct 24, 2013 8:22 pm

I have a battery with only 407 cycles and while the maximum design capacity for the battery is 56.16Wh, the actual full charge capacity is 26.74Wh. This seems like an unusually fast battery deterioration. Am I right? If so, since the computer is still under warranty (I believe), can I file something with Lenovo to get the battery replaced or should I just run to eBay and pick one up from there?

I wouldn't say that 407 cycles is "only".

How long have you had the machine? The batteries are only warrantied for a year.

If you end up buying one from feebay, make sure to get a genuine one and not a knock-off.
