Just call Lenovo,im sure they will give you a new one free of charge!! (or they'll charge you just a little in postage's concept).

Re: Need T410i recovery DVD
Pursuant to the suggestion that one should get Rescue and Recovery disk from Lenovo for T410, good luck. I recently ordered a set for the Windows 7 - 64 bit operating system. They cost about $50 delivered and Lenovo's service was amazingly fast. However, upon loading Disc 1, per instructions, my laptop would not boot. The same was true for the set's Discs 2 and 3. Again Lenovo was very kind and understanding and sent me a second set. Same problems again. Then Lenovo explained that my Disc 1 was in the wrong language and that I needed a set reading "US English". When the third set arrived (looking exactly like sets 1 and 2) it too did not boot. Upon my third call, Lenovo offered me a refund, but I still have no recovery disks to restore my T410 to factory specs. Should you order a set from Lenovo, please let me know how it went for you. If they should work, I'd be interested in what files might be burned on Disc 1.

Disc 1 is just a boot disc. Discs 2 and 3 are where all the important stuff is, but you have to get Disc 1 working first.
I'm thinking that Disc 1 is universal, as I have used a 32-bit Disc 1 to boot and restore a 64bit Windows on discs 2 and 3 and vice versa.
Are you able to boot from any discs, like an Ubuntu live disc, for example?

Re: Need T410i recovery DVD
In response to Jaton4, the OEM set from Lenovo consists of three disks: one "Operating Recovery Disc" and two entitled "Application and Driver Disks". None will boot. Relative to your comments, how might I fashion a boot disk as I am unfamilar with Ubantu? Would you provide more specifc details? I'd very much like to have the original factory setup with the recovery partition, etc, so thanks in advance for your assistance.
