How to disconnect/remove T500 webcam & fingerprint reader?

Hello.

I've just acquired a T500. But before I put it into active use I wish to disconnect or remove the webcam and fingerprint reader. Can someone please post detailed instructions on how to do this? I have no use for either device and I don't just want a software solution: I want them both GONE from the machine.

Get the T500 HMM and follow its illustrated instructions.
Remove the LCD front bezel, remove the webcam, put the bezel back. Done.
Buy another palm rest without FPR, then replace the FPR palm rest. Done.

If you want to physically remove both you need to do the following:

- Download the T500 HMM from here
- Follow instructions on page 110 onwards (from the document, not from the page # of your pdf viewer) to remove the webcam
- Follow instructions on page 67 onwards to remove the palmrest.
Once you've removed it, turn it around and detach the fingerprint connector
