Nice easy question to anyone that has done this.
Can I upgrade to ac wireless?
If so can anyone tell me the IBM/Lenovo part number as I can't find one yet.
When searching all I find is the support drives page on Lenovo's website.

Lenovo does not have an 802.11ac card for the T510.
You will need a modded BIOS (non-Lenovo) with Lenovo's approved wifi card "whitelist" removed:

It may perhaps not be the latest BIOS, but it will work with any wifi card.

Hi, I never did add a ac wireless to my T510 as I could not find the patched bios, the download links on the other site was dead.

When it arrives I will tell you what happens when I fit it, If I have trouble can someone point me in the right direction for a white list bios hack, I have found two but both links are kind of dead

I'm not going to [censored], SO ...

I added the Intel AC card but the machine would not pass the bios, It just keeps telling me that it was not the right card and to remove it.

I have found the bios with the WL removed, and flashed my machine.
The machine now works with the AC card and gives me a connection speed of 866mb, but once I started copying files the speed soon drops, to about 500mb, this was faster then my old N wireless card but I guess there is no beating a good old fashion cable.

The bios is here if anyone else would like a copy, It also has SLI 2.1

One thing I have now noticed is that when I boot my machine I get 5 short beeps, and then another 5 short beeps before the Lenovo logo is shown.

5 beeps is the mobo, probably objecting to an error in that flashed BIOS.
But if everything works OK, learn to live with it.
