Normal temp range for T500 CPU?

I'm wondering whether I'm getting to the point where I need to reapply thermal paste and/or replace the CPU fan. I have a T500, CPU is a Core 2 Duo T9600. I'm using Xubuntu 64-bit 12.04 and between the CPU and GPU, I get idle temps between 42 and 45 and when I really push it (run a game, browser, Skype), they run between 71 and 73. Do these ranges sound normal?

Those ranges sound acceptable. Having said that, given the age of T500s, it's due for some cleaning and reapplication of thermal paste.
