Left hinge and magnesium frame broken again

I have one Thinkpad t500, I loved it but this is the second time this left part (hinge and magnesium frame) is broken.. i cant get one Is there any other frame that can be used say from a t61 or the w500 (but cant get that to) What would you recommend?

If a hinge breaks, that normally happens as part the lid.
Is it just the chassis that's broken, or did the hinge break as well [and if so: where]?

the magnesium frame has broke at the hinge but the hinge is fine

That's what I figured.
You ever drop your laptop?
Are all the screws that hold the lid (inside and on the bottom) in place, nothing missing?

no never droped just the hing has been stiff
