T500 BIOS, Wifi, Fn questions

Hi guys,
I was wondering if you could clarify a few things for me:

1) I would like to upgrade the wifi card as the current one is only abg. The Intel 5300 comes up a lot...it this what you guys recommend or is it worth the trouble to get a more modern cards and whitelist it with the BIOS patch? And if so, can you recommend me an inexpensive card that I might snatch off Ebay?

2) Talking about BIOS, I have my Fn/Ctrl-keys switched on my T60, but it seems the people who do that are not around anymore. Do you guys have a good source for the current versions? Maybe even one where you can install all wifi cards AND have the Ctrl-key in the corner? :)

Thank you in advance - much appreciated!

For wifi ABGN I'd recommend Intel 6200N (not the 6205N) or 6300N.
Other options: Atheros AR5BXB112.
No experience yet with AC wifi.

AFAIK the only ones with Fn/Ctrl keys swapped were 'Middleton' BIOS for T61/R61/X61.

Alright, thanks! That sounds like a good place to start. I already had the 6300 on my radar, even though it is only have size, which means I'd have to get an adapter as well.

Oh no, that would be terrible!
