All driver releases after Release 340 are dropping support for DX10 only GPUs. New driver features are not being added for these systems.

The Release 340 branch will receive bug fixes until April 1st, 2016, after that it will be abandoned.

It affects T61, T61p and T/Wx10 models.

Edit: after contacting nVidia support, they replied "There have not been any announcements regarding Linux." My guess is that the driver functions in Linux are stable enough to demand only low maintenance.

Minor edit, after contacting nVidia support I was told that there are no announcements for the Linux driver.
