T410s Random Screen Diming

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue with their Thinkpad?

Sometimes my T410s will randomly dim the screen and go into the battery power plan for a few seconds then come back to normal. This occurs while the laptop is plugged in.

Sometimes the screen will go completely black and the laptop will stop responding. At that point I have to shut down and restart. It is very rare for that to happen but it's been happening as long as I've owned it. I think disabling Intel Turbo Boost makes my laptop a lot more stable, when I had it on, this would happen a lot.

I got Windows 7 SP1, all updates, software up to date, use TPFancontrol.
