How to configure trackpoint?

#1 Post by Clathink » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:12 pm

Hello.

I bought used Thinkpad T500. It had fresh-installed windows with updates only before 2010-2011 year.

And there was a very nice function: when you hold middle "trackpoint" button and click left "trackpoint" button - usual "scroll wheel click" occurs.

But when i installed all updates till current moment - that function dissapeared. I've explored all Trackpoint settings but unabled to find it.

Help me please, how to get it back? :|

I enabled auto-update right after i got my laptop and installed all updates till current moment including Synaptics.
And that function dissapear after some update.

I found this topic. Topic starter unistalled a new Synaptics driver and installed the old one (version from 2012). I tried the same (installed Synaptics 16.1.1.0 from here) and it works!

Now i have working "standart" scroll with middle button+trackpoint. But for the working middle button i also had to install one little program: tpmiddle 0.6 (just added it to Startup folder)

Now trackpoint works perfectly! Holding middle button + trackpoint = universal scrolling. Short pressing middle button = "mouse middle button" click.
