So just upgraded from my T60P to a T400 2767-DY5 I love it but 2 questions

1.I need a new battery for my T400 I would like to get a 9 cell would you guys recommend that I get one from the Lenovo store or should I buy a off brand with all my IT training I never really have gotten a straight answer.

2.I have the Palmrest without the the fingerprint reader after looking at the Hardware manual it looks like I can replace it with one with the finger print reader just making sure that I can before I spend the money

You're better off with a gently used genuine battery than with a new generic one.

Palmrest is plug & play, just swap it out.

I have a used battery (legit Lenovo) I can sell you. And I have a new palm rest with the Fingerprint reader I can sell you as well.
