Finally Fixed Audio Cutting Out Issue (sort of)

I have a thinkpad t410 with Conexant 20585 audio and i've been dealing with the audio cutting out randomly for months. It's been pretty annoying but at least there has been no issues when using headphones. Anyways I've tried uninstalling drivers and all that and adjusting sound settings in the control panel. I then started thinking about it being a hardware issue instead of a software issue. So I realized maybe only 1 speaker is not functioning properly and the other one is fine. So I went to the volume control panel and moved the balance bar towards each speaker. The left one was still cutting out, but when I tried the right one by itself, it worked perfectly fine. In fact I've been able to listen to music without any interruptions for the first time in a while with these speakers. Can't believe the solution was this simple, at least for me.

So yeah feels good to finally have a victory over this problem even if only half a solution. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else has this problem, you might be able to use 1 working speaker.

I still wonder what is malfunctioning with the left speaker that is messing it up. Is it just a bad connection or what? I heard someone else mention they installed completely new speakers and still had the same problem. Just wish I knew more about what causes these audio cut outs. If anyone can shed more light on this, please do.
