Hi,

I am getting a stick of ram for cheap from a my cousin, but I am not sure if it will work in my thinkpad t400? My thinkpad takes pc3-8600 ram while this is pc3-12800. Will this ram work, is there any risk of damage to my thinkpad's motherboard?

Here is a link to a similar ram stick:

Thanks

Should work. Be careful installing the ram and no damage should result.

Very generous cousin.

Yea :D

I was primarily concerned with the voltages/speed differences?

I currently only have 2gigs (2x1gb) so this 4gb is going to make a big difference.

Thanks for your help Brad

You should have no problems with that RAM.

Enjoy.
