T410 screen brightness adjustment issue

Hi, I recently acquired a T410 and am enjoy it very much. However, it came with a stock Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, so I had to download Hotkey Features Integration version 3.89.0000 from the Lenovo Driver website to use the Fn + Fkeys. For some reason, when I adjust the screen brightness, it changes in increments of 1 between 9 and 15 (going up and down) like it should. However, below 9 does this weird thing where it goes up like 0, 4, 7, 9; 0, 3, 6, 8, 9; or 0, 3, 5, 7, 9. Is this normal for the T410? If not, then how can I be able to fix this issue as I prefer to use the screen in the lower settings and adjust accordingly to daylight.

I would start by downgrading Hotkey Features Integration.
