T500 - can it take a W500 MB

I have a T500 without the switchable graphics. The fan has stopped working and I will attempt to repair it by cleaning it and lubricating it but have no clue if it will work. Now to the real question. My work has a W500 which was returned rather broken. Hinges both broken, LCD cracked, some of the plastics damaged. But it still boots and runs fine. It will be given to me in a few weeks. What are the chances of putting that MB into the T500? The T500 has a P8400, the W500 has a T9400.

The chassis is identical as far as I know, so it should be OK.

As said above it will work without issues, but all W500 came with Switchable graphics, so you will need the discrete fan, IIRC your integrated fan won't fit.

The W500 I will get boots and functions without any issues except that the LCD screen is broken, both hinges are broken, as is the bezel above the keyboard. So the swap would be everything out of the W500 and into the T500. I may attempt to find a non working T500 / W500 to make another fully working laptop. The T500 I have only has a fan issue.
