T420 Hard Drive caddy info wanted

Greetings.
I am looking to use a hard drive caddy in my T420 that will fit in the DVD drive bay; the one I use in my X200 is too thin.
Can someone please verify what the actual height should be; I am seeing 9.5mm, but 12mm as well.

The X200 Ultrabase, if that's what you're referring to, uses a 9.5mm optical drive, so it needs a 9.5mm modular caddy. The part number for the Ultrabase caddy is 43R1980.
With the T420, Lenovo switched to a 12.7mm optical drive that most notebooks use. As far as I know, the slimmer X200 modular caddy should work in the T420, though there will be a gap between the top of the caddy and the bottom of the bay. The T420 caddy will not work in the X200 Ultrabase as it's too tall.

Greetings ZaZ, so the T420 uses the 12.7mm then; interesting that I am seeing so many 9.5mm; perhaps they are referring to the HDD drive height itself.
