Might be an easy answer, but has anyone ever replaced the touch pad sticker on a T410?
I am looking on ebay and finding these for not that bad of a price:

Is it as easy as just peeling off the old sticker (as that is all they are) on putting on a new one?
TIA!

I would be interested as well since I have something on the trackpad on my T410. It looks like something took the dimples away (in a long streak) and I have never used the pad to begin with.
Thank you,
John

In theory yes, but be aware that it may be really sticky.
I tried only once to replace the sticker of a T400s, it was incredible sticky and difficult for me to remove. Being impatient and afraid of breaking the palmrest I ended up buying a complete touchpad and replacing the old peeled off one

Yes, I would be interested in this also as I have a T420 and a couple of T430s that are looking pretty shabby on the touchpad.

Well, I couldn't resist - I ordered the cheapest replacement touchpad sticker on ebay after talking with the seller on how to replace it. I lifted one corner of the old sticker with a razorblade and peeled it back - came of clean and easy with no residue on the either surface. In fact, it looked so good and clean that I haven't replaced it - just using the palmrest surface onto which the sticker would usually be placed. No problems so far.

I ordered a sticker from
http://www.skinstyler.com/pc/ as I didn't like the surface of the sticker Lenovo used.
To remove the old sticker, you have to apply some force.
The surface of the "Black for PC Touchpad Protector skin" is much more like the surface of the touchpad of older ThinkPads like the T400 or the X301, which I prefer over the surface of the touchpads of ThinkPads like the T420 or the L430.
