T410s basic questions

#1 Post by Hans Gruber » Fri Apr 24, 2015 8:02 am

I have two T410s right now. One has on the left side of the screen casing a separation that doesn't seem to stay clamped in place. It's not very noticeable but rides along the side of the panel on the left side. The other T410s is slightly lose but not as noticeable. Does anybody know how to put the casing back in place? I have spend 10 minutes trying to figure it out. The display panel is paper think compared to the standard T410.

Will a 65w power supply work temporarily on the T410s with Nvidia graphics until next week? The 90w power supply arrives next week. The SSD arrives today. I only have one right now between the two laptops.

I really like the weight and thinner profile of the T410s.

Click on the HMM link at the top of this page, and download the T400s/T410s HMM.
65W will do temporarily, but discrete gfx require 90W to work properly.

I can clearly see that the casing around the LCD was once removed and not properly reseated. I can see the LCD edges at the top of the screen. Reseated the front basal plastic. It's not perfect but it's much better than it was before. I ordered a 120GB mSATA drive today. I have another SSD that should be here today. I found out the T410s has two screws holding the keyboard in place and both ram slots are next to each other instead of a one under the case and the other under the keyboard.
