How to tell resolution from model number

I'm trying to get a T420 off eBay but as I don't have an eBay account, I have to rely on descriptions.
I'm looking for one with a 1600x900 display and switchable graphics.
I have one auction which says "4178-6VU" but I can't find out if that has the 1600x900 display or not because the guy didn't tell what size it was. Normally I would assume 1366x768 junk resolution but I want to make sure.
How can I find that out?

Why not just ask? Usually, you can throw the machine type/model into the Lenovo's website and it'll tell you the screen resolution as it came from the factory, though that's no guarantee. I've seen machines on eBay with parts swapped.

You can't ask a question of an eBay seller unless you have an eBay account.
Found a thread on notebookreview which indicates that specific model number does have a 1600x900 display. I suppose if I a 1366x768 junk display I can pay the $18 penalty and return it.

OR use the MTM link at the top of each forum page!
(MTM stands for Machine Type Model).
4178-6VU would have given you:
i5-2520M(2.50GHz),4GB RAM,500GB 7200rpm HD,14in 1600x900 LCD,1GB NVIDIA N12P-NS1,CDRW/DVDRW,Intel 802.11agn wireless,Bluetooth,Modem,1Gb Ethernet,UltraNav,Secure Chip,Fingerprint reader,Camera,9c Li-Ion,Win7 Pro 64
Alternatively, put a WTB (want to buy) ad in our Marketforum.

Any particular reason why you don't have an eBay account? They're free, ya know.
