hi guys
i have an t420 with dead lcd panel.
i found an hp elitebook 8470P lcd panel with a good price. i wonder if i buy it will it work ? or can it damage my mb ?
as i checked from site below looks like they have same connectors, should i give it a try ?

It's probably not going to work BUT in order to be certain you'll have to find out the exact model of the each panel, then compare their pinouts according to data sheets.

Having the same connectors is no guarantee that the pinouts are the same.
For example: the LCDs for the Tablet and non-Tablet versions of the X60/X61 have the same connector, but if you plug in an X61 Tablet LCD on a non-Tablet X61, you'll blow a fuse on the system board at the very least, or irreparably damage the LCD and/or the system board.
You have to hunt down the datasheets for both panels and compare the pinouts.
