I know this thread seems to have gotten mostly populated with requests for the revised/non-defective converter card if/when they are produced and sold again, however I feel like I should toss a minor update out there for those who already have one of the non-s cards with AUO B140HAN01.2 screens - the only one known to exhibit the "screen garbage" behavior with the defective/faulty LVDS/eDP converter chips.

I've been dealing with the occasional screen flash/flicker with my .2 screen, although for some reason this afternoon I remembered that those with the same kits as mine reported no problems with the B140HAN01.1 screen. So I went ahead and bought one to install to see if the problem is cured. It won't arrive for probably a week (at the earliest, this weekend perhaps), but I'm optimistic about my chances with the new screen.

I just ordered a nice T420 from Arrow Direct and would love to upgrade the screen on it, so I'm in for a kit as well.

Sadly, I still get the glitch with B140HAN01.1...
