In a T430 is easier than the T420, in the latter you have to snap a small piece of the mg frame to make room for the adapter.

But we know from the 4K display thread, we know the T420s can drive 4K@30hz but not 60hz. So I'd think the external DP port on the T420s would be able to drive the same 2560x1600@60hz. Also, from that link we know the external DisplayPort connection is at least DP1.2, so that's good news.

I'd not push over 2K for a display, but then again, I can't stand a 30hz display.

Thanks for the insights. Where do the X220/T stand on a similar note. And what about the next gen i.e. X230/T & T4/530 series?

PS: Which 4K display thread? I tried search but forum search ignores 4k even if I put "4k display"

I have exactly the same problem on my T430s, waiting for a replacement.
T430s with intel HD4000 graphics

The CPU is rated at 2.60MHz it looks like those higher frequencies are due to turbo boost, am I wrong?

If you need some parts, hit me up. I was going to restore my T420s and ordered many new parts but then I found a brand new, sealed, mint in box T420s so I don't need the parts anymore.

I have the top cover lid, LCD bezel, logo strip, brand new genuine Lenovo battery, genuine AC adapter and probably a few more parts.

He posted the mid April ETA four (4) days ago. I don't think his plans have changed in 4 days.

Hopefully he'll have enough of them, I want to grab one before it gets too late.

It really cost a little for those sellers to print a B140HAN01.2 label, and most laptops will work regradless of the true screen model as long as the screen is 30 pin edp, however unfortunately this kit doesn't support that many screens.

And yesterday I purchased a B140HAN01.2 (******From a USA seller********), but received a LP140WF3-SPL1 as compatible screen instead.

Guess from the next batch onwards I might have to assign certain seller for the source of screens.
