T420 whining sound on right side?

I've been getting a faint whining/screeching sound on the right side of my t420 whenever I turn it on, near the right speakers and DVD drive caddy. I've removed the caddy but the noise continues to persist. Any idea what's wrong with it?

Maybe the inverter?
