Welcome to the forum.
What is the 7-character TYPE of your Thinkpad (on the laptop bottom, on a small label).

1) First things to try:
- remove power supply
- remove battery
- remove hard disk
- remove CD drive
2) Press on the power button and hold it down for ca. 20 seconds.
3) Then ONLY attach the power supply and try to start.
4) If that works, switch off, insert CD drive and try to start.
5) If that works, switch off, insert hard disk and try to start.
6) If that works, switch off, insert battery and try to start.
7) If nothing works: living in a hot country, your CMOS (round, yellow, under keyboard) might be dead.
Disconnect power and battery, replace the CMOS, then do 3), followed by 6).
OK now?
