T430s keyboard light not working

Hello, I got a T430s here and when I press Alt - Space, nothing happens.. I can see the icon on the screen that the light changes on and off but there is no actual light turning on and off.
All drivers by Lenovo System Update are up to date.

Anything else I can try?

I think you need to hold down Fn/Space instead for a few seconds.

Hi sorry I actually meant FN-Space, and holding down both keys or one of them doesn't make a difference.

On backlit US keyboards there is a white icon that looks like a light on the space bar with lines facing the LCD. The non-backlit keyboard has a blue icon that looks like a light with lines facing the opposite way.

If you hold down the Fn button on backlit keyboard and then press the space bar you scroll through two backlit brightness settings and then the Thinklight and then to off so there are four settings to scroll through.

I have never seen a backlit keyboard that didn't light. There is always the first time though.

I don't have backlit on this model only the LED in the top of the screen next to the webcam.

Possible the led it self is broken?
t430 if you dont want to bother with the thinklight you can replace with the backlit keyboard.

Good idea, that might be an option... it's not a big deal, I was just wondering if it might be fixed by some software issue.
