ThinkPad T420s from Ubuntu back to Windows 7 Gparted

Hello Peolpe,
i got a Lenovo ThinkPad 420s and i installed Linux Ubuntu from a USB. After a week, i decided to change back to Windows 7, but first i had to shrink the Ubuntu partition to make more space for the Windows 7 partition. I did this with the program Gparted. So i shrinked the Ubuntu Partition back to 24GB to enlarge the Windows 7 (50 GB) partition. I didn´t found a way to enlarge the Window 7, so i copied it and pasted it into the free space. After this i deleted the "old/first" Partition of Windows 7 because now i had a copie on a bigger Partition. Now it is not possible for me anymore to boot windows 7, because the booting program "grub" cant´t find the new partition.
I looked in many forums and there where many similar peolpe with a almost similar problem, but i could not find a right answere, so i ask you guys out there for help.

Greetings

Anatol

Seems like ubuntu changed your disk partition to GPT, which windows 7 doesnt support it by default.
What you can do is, plug linux live cd. run terminal and type in 'gdisk /dev/sda' *without the quote and assuming sda is your harddrive.
and then choose "recovery and transformation" there should be a menu to convert GPT back to MBR once you done with it, press w
and try to re-install your win7 again..best of luck.

Grub needs to be updated in Ubuntu. "sudo update-grub" in the terminal should fix this.
