T420 Display turns off after 60 seconds of idle

#1 Post by fastmessenger » Tue Jan 05, 2016 2:09 am

I have adjusted the power settings in Lenovo's Power Manager 6 and in the Windows 10 settings for AC power and still the display turns off after 60 seconds. So the display should wait 15 minutes before turning off since I have it connected via the AC adapter. I bought the laptop on Ebay and the seller said he installed a new 1600 x 900 display which is not the original 1366x766 display. Could he have improperly installed it?

As far as Im aware of the Power Manager is not supported in Windows 10 anymore. I believe you did an upgrade on it?
but try with windows power manager control. See if that works. I'm not a windows user with thinkpad anyway. :) But worth a try this is my experience with my other laptop.
