I am working on T500 to get ready for my friend to use except one problem.

There are two places that is needed to get ethernet and wifi working, the usual config and one you do not think about is in security settings is access to items I mentioned.

You have the wifi working now? If not then generally yes I would make sure to check if Wireless LAN is Enabled in BIOS i.e., 'Config>> Network>> Wireless LAN and WiMAX Radios>> On' or 'Security>> I/O Port Access>> Wireless LAN>> Enabled.' If those do not initiate wireless ability does using a Live Linux USB or Disk present a lack of wireless as well? If so check your wireless card port for bent pins. I once had an x200 where the wireless port had mangled contact strips (which I could not fix) that prevented any wireless card usage.

Thanks, I did not think about the security bit in the bios for wireless was the one that did not allow wireless to be on. I had to mention that so anyone will know what to look for.
