Advice needed on maxing out a T410

Hi,
I'm looking at purchasing a T410 that has the following specs:
Intel® Core™ i7-620M
4GB RAM
64 bit
14.1" WXGA+ (1440x900)
I'd like it to run Windows 7 and Office 2007.
I'm then looking to max it out, especially the RAM and the storage (would prefer SSD). I've heard that it's not possible to run 8GB at 1333MHz on the T410 as it is throttled at 1066MHz.
I was hoping to get some advice on what is possible and what is not in terms of maxing out a T410? Also, is there anyone who knows if you can use DDR4 memory to run 8GB of RAM on a T410 at 1333MHz? Or is there anyone who has managed to run 8GB of 1333MHz DDR3 memory?
Thanks for any advice!
Ura

Impossible.

Well, whatever faster RAM you end up installing it will still run at 1066MHz and there's nothing that can be done about that. Buy a good matched name-brand set and be done with it.
With that said, with an SSD and 8GB of RAM, T410 is still a very fine system for daily use. Battery life and screen quality are its only serious downfalls IMO.

I looked for used memory on eBay. You've got 45 days to dispute it. If it's still working after 45 days, the chances it'll fail later are slim.

Thanks very much for that advice.
I'm a newbie when it comes to these matters so could you please suggest the "names" of a good matched name-brand set to get?
Thanks!

Might want to use it first and see how you go.
I have a few 410s, all reasonably similiar spec. 4Gb ram, 1,400 x 900 screen, 120Gb ssd, i5 2540 etc. - they run nicer than I'd ever expect. Hell, one of them I paid $50 for a complete unit sans hdd. Windows 7 some with the Intel GFX, some with the rubbish Nvidia gpu.
Std. battery 2.5 to 3hrs is all you get. They run remarkably cool, I see no need to run 8Gb or a bigger SSD or more cpu.
The only downside is that parts seem a bit more expensive than the T400 series. IMO the T420 isnt leaps and bounds over the 410.

I got 8gb of ram from crucial for £31! and i also got a i7 640m that must be pga 988 for around £60 i have a hdd 160gb at 7200rps runs very fast and can play games rarther well.
It can play minecraft, sims 3, gta 3, gta sanandreas, nfs mw 2005, nfs carbon, nfs mw 2012, rust legacy, gta 4, mafia 1 and many more too!
I would aslo recomend u get a ssd from crucial for a 240gb its around £60 very good investment!
I had 4gigs of ram and a i5 520m wasnt the best but since i upgraded to a i7 640m and 8gigs of ram it runs a dream for a old monster!
I used to get around 1500 or somthing like that on cpuz stress test now i get around 2200+ with a i7 640m
u should get a i7 640m with the sokcet pga988 very good investment
with 8gigs of ram it runs multitasking very well and is also very good to get 8gigs
if u have got the know a t410 from the back of your head i would recomend u get the motherboard with nvidia graphics thats what im doing u will need a motherboard with nvidia graphics either 256mb of vram or 512 then u need the descrete cpu with the heat pipe line and heat sink bit for the gpu too.
links to upgradeds if u are intrested.
