hello everyone!

Yesterday I bought used T500 in excellent condition, on first view. But I have one problem. Display goes flickering when I set display brightness to maximum. I was tried to install different version of VGA drivers, turned off power saving feature in graphic settings etc.

Flickering was stopped when I was discrease brightness one level backward. Thinkpad has Intel 4500MHD GPU.

Try replacing the inverter, that's the least expensive first step to take. If that course of action doesn't solve the problem, a replacement LCD panel might be in order.

Srećno!

In BIOS and during Windows installation is everyting OK. Flickering begins when install driver. I tried Windows 10 and Windows 7. Same problem in both situation.

Interesting. Try going to Intel's site and grabbing the appropriate driver(s) from there, see whether it makes a difference. You won't find one for W10, but W7 shouldn't be a problem. I'd install the chipset driver first - just in case - and then proceed with the graphics one.

I already tried latest drivers from Intel site and from lenovo support site. Similar situation. Discreasing display brightness one step backward is not a big problem, but I am interested to resolve this issue.

Same GPU, CPU and chipset I have on Elitebook 6930p and everything works fine with same drivers and OS installation.

UPDATE:

I don't know how, but today is everything OK. Brightness is on high level and everything works fine.
