What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
Hi, im getting pretty bored with the current game selection i currently have. Due to Bad fps or just playing it to much.
current games i have: Rust Legacy, gta 4, minecraft, sims 3, nfs carbon, nfsmw 2005, nfsmw 2012, Driver3, gta vicecity, gta sanandreas robocraft, and finally unturned.
the games i am looking for are: freeroam games, Building, and survival games.
if anyone knows games that run at 30fps+ on lowest settings please tell me what the game it is so i can get it as i am bored with my current game selection.
the minimal fps would be 28-30+fps and up on lowest at 1024x768 resolution.
yes ik its not for gaming i am planing to get the nvidia board for it for christmas. and i am not allowed a upgrade due recently getting this
please leave a comment if i can run it
My specs are
I7 640m
Intel HD 1000 modded 128mb Vram @ 800mhz
8gb ddr3 800mhz <--- slow crucial ram
Intel Qm57 chipset
PGA 988 socket
Non Nvidia MotherBoard
Thanks For Reading

Re: What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
Most titles I own are 2007 or older, which should all run fine on such a system. I tend to play a big mix titles which vary in age, though they all tend to be much older. Roller Coaster Tycoon, Command and Conquer (newest one I have is 3 - which runs beautifully at max settings on my W520 ), Star Trek titles (Legacy, Bridge Commander, Armada/Armada II, SFC3). They are 2007 or older titles. The only ones that would be more demanding and almost certainly not run well at anything above medium or medium-low graphics settings would be Legacy or C&C3 as they are the newest titles I mentioned; 2006 and 2007 respectively.
I used to run all of these at max settings, except the two newest ones, on my old T61p with the FX570m. The newer ones would run fine at medium-high graphics settings although at a lower than native resolution; 1280x800 or better though. From what I remember when my wife was using a first gen iGPU powered laptop to play games with me, the iGPU was pretty much on par with the FX570m.
I set up a T410 with the nVidia GPU for the brother-in-law last year and one of the titles he played a lot was World of Tanks - according to him it was playable though I didn't ask for details. All of these GPUs (the FX, NVS and iGPU) are within 10-15% or so of one another from a gaming performance standpoint.

Re: What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
Hello TheMagicT410!
More 3D recent games before 2012 runs OK too on my T410 at medium graphics quality settings:
(i7 CPU, 4GB RAM, SSD drive, NVIDIA NVS 3100m GPU 512 MB, Windows 7 32-bit Pro, DVD R/W):
Star Trek Online, MechWarrior Online, X3 Terran Conflict (circa 2008) which is an intensive 3D space simulator.
League of Legends also work fine, especially with my i7 CPU / 4GB RAM / custom SSD drive.
***In short, if you are willing to accept "medium" graphics game quality, T410 should work for you too!
***And hope you will appreciate this T410, which is the last model to have 16:10 screen dimension (more vertical height!).

Re: What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
Thanks for the reply w0qj!
nice setup u have their. it seems like u have the nvidia nvs 3100m card while i have the hd1000 which is a big downgrade from ur card. I dont mind playing games at lowest settings really, as i dont really like having higher settings if it really effects fps allot.
i will indeed look at some reviews of those games and see if i can get them.
thanks!

I know for sure that at 1366х768 and low settings it is possible to play Crysis: Warhead and Empire: TW

[Edit: uurrgghh...excuse me for a semi-necro thread!]
Hello TheMagicT410, congrads on your posting #100
0. We liked our T410 so much that we recently upgraded it to 8 GB RAM, and put in a new SSD!
1. We have T410 doing daily work, and previously we have run these games on this T410 and playable!
~StarTrekOnline (3D game, resolution set to medium).
~MechWarrior Online (3D game, more intensive, resolution set to medium).
~League of Legends
~Diablo series
~StarCraft series
~Basically any game which does not demand the latest top tier graphics cards, and on medium resolution.
(Hint: If you are already looking into fps [frames per second] for a specific game, then T410 may not be for you
But above games are extremely playable for casual enjoyment).
2. Oh, and upgrading your T410 to SSD would noticeably help your game loading times!
(And game installs are MUCH faster with SSD also; game installs are massive GB's nowadays).
Hope this helps!

Re: What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
I'm surprised to hear Star Trek online working on the T410, it's quite miserable on my T500. I think this is one of the odd cases were the T410's faster CPU comes into effect.
Re: What Video Games Would Run Well On A T410
I've played Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai with medium settings just fine on my T410 with 4GB RAM, nVidia 3100M, Intel Core i5 M520 @ 2.40 GHz, 1280 x 800 screen but docked to a 1600 x 900 Dell monitor, and Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
I tried playing Splinter Cell: Blacklist on the lowest settings and that went horribly.
Happy gaming!
