Hello all!,

it has the same socket which is (PGA988) same chipset (QM57) and the latest bios for the t410.

No it will not work. BIOS won't support it - latest or not - to begin with.

This is not a bios thing, biggest difference with old quad CPUs of this type do not have integrated GPU at all, T510 and T410 requires integrated GPU with CPU. W510 series are the ones that can use them.

2nd gen and later mobile quads have integrated GPU and can work in W and T5x0 series even some have no discrete GPU.

oh, so it will not run if i get a quad core i7 without a gpu intergrated. ugh damit. as i was hopting to get a very high core beast and a top spec nvidia board to make a somewhat decent gaming pc for not hard core games. just minecraft, mafia 2, rust legacy. to just run better.

thanks for letting me know as i did not want to waste £70 on a cpu that will not work when i can get the nvidia mobo and descrete heatsink for less than the cpu.

Cheers!
