Hi all! It's been a while since my last post...

My mom has a T410 whose screen her boyfriend somehow managed to damage. The machine is a T410, 2522-WBR. The FRU for the part is 42T0731, making it a WXGA+ display.

These 1440x900 displays tend to be more expensive (and less readily available) than their 1280x800 counterparts, which had me wondering if I could swap the lower-res screen into it. It would be cheaper, and my mom uses a lower res anyway.

Any T410 veterans out there with experience with this? Would I have to swap the LCD cable out if I move to a low-res panel?

Should be a straight swap of just the WXGA+ LCD against WXGA (42T0725, 42T0729 or 42T073).

Edit: The new WXGA panel arrived yesterday. It works perfectly, just at a lower native resolution.
