Is there any place on the internet where I can purchase a genuine AUO B156HW01 V7 (or V4)?

I've looked through about 50 ebay listings as well as other websites like aliexpress, laptopscreens.com, and so on. Every last one of them is either out of stock or contains wording in their listing which indicates the panel they'll send won't be a genuine AUO B156HW01 series, but an inferior LG replacement (or some other even crappier brand).

Is it completely impossible, at this point in time, to get my hands on a genuine B156HW01 V4/V7? I want to get one of these panels to put into a cheap used T520 and have myself a nice cheap 1080p media consumption machine. It would be a shame if I have to look to the Haswell generation machines to get my hands on one with a good quality FHD display, as those are significantly more expensive than the Sandy Bridge Thinkpads.

At least one German seller still offers genuine AUO B156HW01 V.4 screens: https://thinkspot.de/ersatzteile/displa ... 1-v.4?c=15

Actually, the FHD screens of the 15" Haswell ThinkPads are mediocre TN panels that are much worse than the AUO B156HW01 V.4.

I just typed in B156HW01 in ebay and found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AU-Optronics-B1 ... XQzopRynHH.

Seems to be a genuine model.

Hey man thanks, that is the first legitimate one I've seen anywhere. Unfortunately it doesn't ship to my country, but maybe I can use a mail forwarding service if one exists for Europe>Australia.

Well actually I was looking at the 1080p IPS panel you can get for T440s, not the widest color gamut ever but at least it wouldn't look completely terrible.

The last one I bought I got it from here: http://www.ebay.ch/itm/360657273907?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT

The auction stated is an original v4 panel and not a compatible model. I anyway contacted the seller and asked for confirmation (I actually always do this, better safe than sorry) and he replied promptly and confirmed they have the original panels in stock.

I got the package yesterday (it took a week to arrive from HK to Switzerland) :D

The AUO B156HW01 V.4. is a 15.6" screen that won't fit in a 14" T440s...

Actually, it says the following on the web page:
Solltest du den Versand in ein Land außerhalb der EU wünschen, dann teile bitte per E-Mail den gewünschten Artikel mit der Menge und der Lieferadresse mit dem Land und der entsprechenden Postleitzahl mit. Du erhältst dann kurzfristig eine Rückmeldung, ob der Versand in das gewünschte Land möglich ist und welche Versandkosten anfallen, da beides vorab beim Versandpartner erfragt werden muss.
Rough translation: if you live outside of the EU, you have to send the seller an e-mail that contains the requested item(s) and the country where you live. He will then answer you if it's possible to ship to your country and how much the shipping costs.
