T420 Webcam Upgrade

Recently I dropped an SSD into my T420, bought the extended life 9-cell, and repasted the CPU heatsink. Man, this thing flys now. However, the webcam is of really poor quality. After I got it working on Windows 10 by using the standard Microsoft drivers and not the Lenovo ones, I realized that the camera is a standard USB camera.

Which got me thinking... Is it possible to upgrade the camera to a better one? The ThinkWiki says that it is possible for some DIYer's to do it.
