Looking to buy a t520 and have a question about RAM

As I understand, it can take RAM of 1066mhz speed, but I've seen some ebay listings with 667mhz speed.
Are they compatible? Because if so, I have to be a bit more careful with people selling t520's with slow ram.

667 mhz sticks are DDR2 ram. It is too slow, not to mention that DDR2 and DDR3 (T400 and newer) are not interchangeable.
The sellers probably made mistakes in the listing.

T520/T420 takes two DDR3-1333 modules, 2Rx8 configuration (16 chips per module), 1.5V and up to 2x 8GB for 16GB total. Always buy matched sticks if upgrading in two modules total. Even from single 8GB stick, always take this out and put in matched two 8GB sticks in, can sell that one module. Brand *of* memory maker is best, not the consumer brands. Micron/Crucial, Hynix, Samsung, Elpida.
Also these T420/T520 have no issues taking DDR3-1600 as well as long as they are rated for 1.5V or dual 1.5/1.35 *as specified*!

Some software lists ram speed of 1333 as 666.
cpu-z is probably one example.
