T410 Wlan and Bluetooth doesn't work

#1 Post by serekzolty » Thu Aug 04, 2016 10:11 am

Hi there.I've got a problem with my T410. I had to replace magnesium base, because mine was broken.
Everything was allright, my TP turned on and booted without a problem.I shut it down and went out. When I got back i started it and it turned out both WLAN and Bluetooth are gone. The switch on the right side does nothing, so does the FN+F5 trick. They're both enabled in BIOS.
I tried running Ubuntu LIVE CD and it doesn't recognize any Wlan card neither bluetooth.Neither does windows. There is no Wlan card in device manager.Currently I am using a USB Wlan stick, but what's the point of having a laptop then ? I tried flashing newest bios and did default settings, nothing happened.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance.

Did you check if the wifi-switch on the motherboard was in the correct/matching position when you put the chassis back in the base?

I think there is only one position you can assemble it with, because the guide said I had to put it into "OFF" position in order to disassemble it.I'm not sure what position it was, but as I said it was working after putting all the parts back together and stopped after restart.I have plugged the Wlan card into WWAN slot and windows is detecting it, no signal though even with antenna connected, so the card itself is working.
So would you recommend disassembling it again and checking the switch ?
