How can I check the battery life status and before I make a deal for the used t420s?
What is the optimum characteristic for this model (3-4, 5h ...?). Without gaming >normal/standart usage.

The T420s' battery is rated 44Wh, you'll get about 3h+ under the moderate usage. You can use Lenovo Power Manager (advanced>battery information) to see how much wear it has (cycles, actual capacity). Mine (Panasonic), after 4 years and less than 50 cycles is at 27Wh. If you want a cheap ultrabay battery - see this auction (I've just bought one too, luck of the draw perhaps, the price is good anyway)

My sales-person gave me this information:

/He said something about 2h.../
- Is it good :?:

However, it will not be with UK layout and will need replacement :?

That's the info displayed in the basic mode, not advanced, I think. What price you've been asked for? And what configuration? They're selling here (Romania) for ~250 euro, and the T430s for ~350. Another thing - the T420s with integrated graphics might be affected by this hardware issue so better go for an unit with (nVidia) graphics if possible.

I personally would not be too hung up about battery since genuine batteries arent too expensive to buy. And you are talking about a 3yr old laptop that has been cycled so if the tools show 30wh then thats fair enough given that you shouldnt be paying too much dollars for a 420s anyway.

Cycle count: 230 ?!?
How can I see how kWh?
With that battery bay ( replacement of the CD?) - Can you keep 4+ hours?
How many grams will become heavy the machine?

i5 2520
RAM 8GB
320GB
VC Intel HD3000

210E, in my city.
The main problem is that I don't find t420s with UK layout (for 200-250E + 8GB RAM).
So... I'm looking for burnout (cheap) UK keyboard, for replacement ~10-15 buttons.
