"ME is in recovery state"
When I boot my T420s, I get the message "ME is in recovery state" right after the BIOS screen and before the boot process starts. Normally, I suppose there should be some info on Intel net boot.
How do I set this right, or - even better - disable this screen completely?

Go into BIOS/Config/Intel AMT and disable Control.

Another option:
go into Device Manager, select System Devices, then rightclick Intel Management Engine Interface.
Go to the Drivers tab, there you can either update the drivers for it or UNinstall/DISable it.

Yes, I did. Unfortunately, Lenovo no longer allows downgrading bioses.
