thinkpad t410 need some help

#1 Post by HackitZ » Mon Oct 03, 2016 5:29 pm

Hi all,
I have a thinkpad t410, it runs great, a few months ago it download win 10 and crapped out.
I put it away as i had no time to mess with it.
Well i pulled it out the other day and jumped the gun and installed win 7 ultimate. finding the drivers is a pain, i can not seem to get the lenovo site to take me to the driver page .
I then remembered i could restore the os as it came but the option is missing from the boot menu. i then installed the lenovo recovery software, i now have the option back in the boot menu. so i hit the recover option and go all the way through until i get the error, ibm product recovery function has been removed from this system.

So i have played with diskpart and can see the recovery partition is still there, so how can i force the computer to boot to that partition and restore the original os?
Thanks for any and all help

Welcome to the forum!

Press F11 on boot and the machine should start the recovery process presuming that the partition itself is intact.

Good luck.

boot the machine using linux mint. the first thing which'll pop up is likely a boot menu which'll include the windows partition.
