I actually just did this upgrade but with the .1 screen (not what I ordered, it said .2), but it is still IPS and great quality! The laptop looks great now! Love the screen. Thank you!

Sent you some emails via ebay, about when and if you source another batch, I'd like to order a number of these to do up a few T430s with quad core processors and these FHD screen modifications. I have recently started replacing the original dual core BGA CPU package, in place of a quad core of the same TDP. Which work great. These super powered T430S laptops are like no other and believe we can work closely on this.

How are you doing this with T430s models which have a soldered on cpu? Or are you upgrading T430 models since those cpus are not soldered?

Interested as well!! I thought the T430s has a soldered on CPU and heat is an issue with the slimmer chasis...more info would be appreciated!

T420s/T430s do have a soldered on CPU. T420/T430 do not.

That makes it 4 people interested in another batch, who have replied here, so there is interest in ordering a minimum of 4 kits. If you add people who are interested but haven't replied, and people ordering multiple kits, it probably comes to 8 kits (especially if the pre-order interest thread is done outside of holiday season.

Would 8-10 kit orders justify another batch?

Hello all. New to the forum, but I would be interested in a 420s/430s kit as well.

depending on the WQHD kits when RMSmajestic releases them and also the screens proven to work with the kits...I'd probably have one or 2 kits freed up (with screens)...

Please notice that for those of you who ordered X1c kits, there will be a little bit delay cos Javi forgot to include the FPC cable in the package.

Sorry - just bad timing. Just recently bought the T430s and started looking at replacing the screen. Stumbled on refs. to this upgrade on reddit, and by time I found this thread you had just closed ordering. Seriously missed it by a day. Should have researched faster I guess...

You can follow me on feebay and get subscription emails, once I listed the kit on feebay you should get an email, that should gurantee you a position.

Not really, all I can confirm is that it will definitely be after chinese new year cos Javi is preparing for finals this term..... and after finals it's the chinese new year holiday

USPS told me it will get delivered in about two weeks, you should be able to see a tracking this weekend and it will be on it's way by latest next Tuesday.

I could not wait to see the outcome of the upgrade.
So I tried to install the kit, and it went really well.
Approximately 2 hours of work and great excitement as it booted up.
What a joy, everything worked as expected.
Once again, thank you for the opportunity to get this kit.

PS. I would still like to see the assembly instructions, to see if I've done something wrong.

I'm definitely interested as well. Shame I picked up my T430s just recently, or I would have ordered in the first batch for sure.

I'm also interested in the kit for the regular T430 model, if that ever comes to fruition. However, since I own a T430s and not a regular T430, I'd prioritize the S-model kit first.

nope, Javi has kind of given up. Though we promised to do a batch order for those guys at German thinkpad forum who are willing to take risk on their own. In one sentence, there will be probably in total ~100 kits worldwide that might not work.
