Will BDC 2 from an R61 work in a T400?

#1 Post by dcai777 » Sat Nov 12, 2016 2:53 pm

I got an 14.1" R61 7743-1GU off ebay (it was absurdly cheap, $22 including shipping).

It's got a NVS 140M (dated 07/07) so it'll probably die at any second now (typing this on it though).

Apart from the GPU defect though, I actually really like how this computer runs. With 4GB of ram and a cheap 32GB SSD, it practically flies on W8.1 and W7.

So I went looking for either an X3100 or post 08/08 14.1" T61 or a T400 (I'd like to keep on using my extended battery) and I found a T400 for a total of 38$.

This T400 is a 6474-WK1, which does not have Bluetooth. It also has a 1280x800 screen but I can most likely swap the 1440x900 screen from my R61 into this (unless the T400 has a LED one). But my R61 does have BT, so I would like to know if I can just take the module and transplant it into the T400. I know the part number is different (2030 vs 2040) but they still seem very similar.
T400: P8400, 1440x900 CCFL, 8GB DDR3, X4500
