I got a T520 missing a keyboard. I'm currently using it with a W500 keyboard plugged in.......
The touchpad and its buttons are completely nonfunctional, it was like this even without a keyboard plugged in. It also has a color calibrator but I'm not sure how to work that either. I have a suspicion I need a correct keyboard plugged in and then the touchpad will function but I won't know until I have a keyboard, one is on the way.
Or is the entire palmrest dead? Any advice?

Re: T520 touchpad not functioning
The touchpad and its bottom bottons operate independently from the keyboard.
Most likely:
1. Touchpad disabled via bios. Simply re-enable it to get it working again.
2. Touchpad disabled via trackpoint software in windows. Change settings to re-enable it.
Unlikely:
3. Touchpad connector loose. Follow the HMM (link at top of the page) and reseat the connector.
Very unlikely:
4. Touchpad connector defective.

Re: T520 touchpad not functioning
THANKS BRCHAN!!!
I checked the HMM and apparently I had the connector in the unlocked position...
Shame on me. It's working now that I flipped the piece of plastic. Gee golly. Thanks for your help!
