Base System Device
PCI Serial Device
PCI Simple Communication Device

These three items show up in device manger without drivers. I have loaded all devices that I have found drivers for, but these remain unfound. Can anyone id what drivers I should be looking for? Thanks.

In device manager, open the properties dialog for each of the devices. On the Details tab, select the Hardware IDs option from the dropdown menu - then list the VEN and DEV info (usually in the format PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1502). With that info we can ID the device and point you towards the appropriate driver.

Sometimes Windows Update will ID the devices and provide a functional driver for them as well when it checks for/installs updates as well.

Years since I used it, but I've had good results from this in the past.

What's your OS? Have you tried checking the option to allow Windows to find drivers from 'other sources'?

It's Intel Management Engine stuff. You can usually get it through Lenovo System Update.

Has anyone gotten this (unfamiliar) program to work with Windows 10? On several Thinikpads and my desktop, it just comes up with an empty window and sits there.

According to the website W10 is supported.
Tried running it as Admin?

I took another Thinkpad, my W500, and when installing as Admin and running as Admin it actually worked.

But for the two unknown devices: on the first one the query sent to Google exceeded Google's 32 character limit.

On the second one, repetitively, Google would show a page of hits and then immediately return to the empty Google home screen. I couldn't interrupt that process.

Oh well - sounded like a good idea but clearly the program needs some development work.
