T410 speaker fubbernucked - Solder wires??
I was wondering why my T410's left speaker stopped working and I found this: https://s21.postimg.org/sqmznnxad/Scree ... _35_AM.png Both wires are broken. I'm thinking they were either crushed under the keyboard or impaled by a palmrest screw.
Are speaker wires special or something? Can this be soldered? Or should I just buy new speakers for a whole sub $4?

Re: T410 speaker fubbernucked - Solder wires??
I've soldered X301 speaker wires before. It's easy and even a sloppy job has no negative impact. Just make sure to insulate it. I used glue to insulate.

^ Make it a bit more elegant and use electric tape or heatshrink tube.

Clip the wires apart. Clip back all of the kinked up wire and strip them back 5mm each. Place a 12mm piece of heat shrink tubing on two of the wires. Push them head to head into each other and hold with a hemostat or other secure clip and solder. Push the heat shrink tubing over the joint and apply heat.
It's a 10 minute fix.
