T420i Screen Blackout

Hi, I need help with my Lenovo T420i. It dropped and after checking it was working properly. the following day the screen was flickering and out of position. Then it died completely with stuff visible on the screen when in a dark room. I have connected it to an external screen and it is working very well.

I had a friend look at it, he says he replaced the screen with one that was working properly, but the new screen didn't work. He says the fuses are ok and it could be my Graphics card.

Anyone with idea what to do to resolve this problem?

Did that friend replace the screen in YOUR T420i or somewhere else?

From your description, the LCD-cable could have just come loose on the rear of the LCD, and might only need reinsertion.

He used a working screen and which behaved same as mine. He checked all connections and swears they all were ok. Using the Laptop with a second screen at the moment which stops it being a Laptop.

Any other ideas? Help!
