What config T430 is this please?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252939372683? ... EBIDX%3AIT - I am interested - they
SAY 1600x900, but as we know, many eBay sellers just copy/paste bulk templates; annoyingly their "auctiva" images are AWFUL quality so I can't see the config/CTO numbers. Additionally, judging by the spacebar legend it has a backlit keyboard... or do ALL keyboards show this legend of the lamp symbol, regardless?
Bit confused - I've managed to squint for a few hours and work out the first few digits are "2349-J ... something" (I think)
Any help appreciated, thank you

I suggest you ask seller for the label's MTM.

Using PaintShopPro and bicubic sampling, my guess is: 2349-3A4

Ah, bicubic eh! I was using some other tools but I'll have to shove CS4 on my PC and have a proper look, thanks. I'm not sure if I need it, but it appears to be a very good price (is it?) - I've just bought a working HP ProBook 6460b for a mere £46 shipped!
As for your MTM guess, yes, that matches precisely with the specs on Lenovo site.

How do you tell if it has a backlit keyboard? The lamp logo is on the space bar...

You'll need to wait till you get the machine in your hands.
I doubt the seller is willing to remove the keyboard to get a P/N or FRU for you.
AFAIK the symbol on the spacebar is NOT proof, it's on every KB.

It won't get to that stage if I don't get a solid and accurate reply from them. I don't buy things on a whim.

They started selling out as I was refreshing the eBay page to pick the cleanest and most unscratched lid one, so I bought it! Not that fussed about the keyboard, it'll be nice if it's B/Lit but not a deal breaker. Does one see many of the SSD T430 ThinkPads on eBay for this price?

I'm not sure as I don't peruse the 'bay for Tx30 systems. USD$200 doesn't seem too bad for an i5 system with 4GB memory and 128GB SSD. My personal limit has been with W520 systems (prefer the 7-row keyboard) with 1920x1080 screens. The ones in my hands were purchased for just over USD$200 and came with 4GB-8GB but no HD.

I received this T430 yesterday (17/5/17) - I LOVE IT!
The only minor annoyance is the fan, but I installed TPFanControl which fixed that. This machines shows NO wear whatsoever to the plastics or KB, only some sparse, light scuffs to the top edge of the screen lid (not the bezel, the part that faces your ceiling as you sit with it open) which I don't mind. This is a SCREAMER!

2349-3A4, as correctly deduced! Wonderful!
For those interested, here are some shots I took of the LiteOn SSD which is inside my machine:

Huh? Are you sure that's not because of thermal paste drying out on CPU and/or a fan that is dying? I would replace the fan or thermal paste if i ran into those issues.
Speaking of which, if you want it even speedier, get something like i7-3720qm or i7-3820qm and you get twice the performance. It's one of the last machines to offer drop-in CPU upgrade option (that and the standard T440/T540 are the last models to use PGA sockets)
