Is There A Maximized System Diagnostic App?

#1 Post by jimwg » Thu Jun 01, 2017 3:42 am

Greetings!

Is there a diagnostics app that can determine whether your T400 (or any system) is maximized the best it could be based on the best of products and upgrades/updates out there? Crucial seems to have a memory test app that can decide the best memory for your system (is it really that accurate), but I mean something that checks out your entire system to provide maximizing recommendations.

Thanks for any tips!

Sort of, it's called YOU.
Only YOU can decide if YOU have enough RAM, storage, the best OS, the best program for YOUr needs.
The Maximized amount of something is not always the best!
And I wouldn't trust Crucial who cannot even get it right with the amount of RAM for each computer...

T400 (or any system) is maximized the best it could be
For a T400 the best you can do is:
8GB of PC3-8500 ram
SSD
P9600, or T9700 cpu
64-bit Linux
T420 i7 3612QM seabios; T420 i7 3630QM; T400 Q9100 seabios; T61 P9600; T60 libreboot; x62; x60s libreboot, led; x24 xiphmont led
