I pluggef my T430s lcd into my T420 since it was fried. I got a strange thing where everything was green, every other vertical line would appear and past that it was ok. it displayed the splashscreen as normal(with the effects stated above) but when I tried it on the T410, it was totally normal.

The T420's connector might be dirty.

I would say that but its original LCD works a dream minus the awful TN.

Maybe differences in the LVDS wiring?

What cable are you using?

If you are using the T430 screen in the T420 - try using the T420 original cable with the T430 screen.....

I personally thought the T430 and T420 used the same LVDS cable but I gave my buddy my original T430 screen to use in his T420 (since I did the FHD mod) and he couldn't use it with my T430 cable...he had to swap the cable and use the T420 cable (**shrugs shoulder**)

you may be using 1600x900 LCD in place of a 1366x768 LCD, and they come with different cables

Thats the answer, sux its not plug and play like on the t6x series. Put a sxga from xga, no problems.
