How many interest in a WQHD (2K) kit for T420s and T430s?
Re: How many interest in a WQHD (2K) kit for T420s and T430s?
I may be late as well, but I'd be in for at least one kit. Been waiting on this to buy a t430s project box, and I'm excited (:

I'd order one if no soldering is required to install it.

I'd definitely pay up-front for a non-s version.

Heh, I'm still waiting for a documented fix/band-aid (or a revised design) for the non-s FHD kit I have in my T420...

Is this still ongoing? If so, I'm interested.

I am interested. Now that the cat is out of the bag and TP25 is FHD, the 2K kit is surely a must. Please count me in too.
Secondly, how is the concept going? I remember you said Javie was trying to find a different solution than kingkonglue's sacrifice of the DP port.

Re: How many interest in a WQHD (2K) kit for T420s and T430s?
Hallo guys,
as i just bought my first 2 thinkpads, a t430s and a t430
i would like to jump in this screen upgrade wagon
I have been reading the forums for all FHD related threads.
i have some questions
as far as i understand the FHD kit could let you install a 1080 full HD screen
so whats the difference of the WQHD kit? is it the same as the FHD kit? i think i read that it supports the same screens :
1920*1080 B140HAN01 B140HAN01.2 B140HAN01.1 LP140WF1 SPK1 SPU1 B140HAN01.3 30pin

RMS, any details on how was the flicker removed, DC backlighting or boosted into the KHz range?RMSMajestic wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2017 3:15 pmAs described in the title. Since Javi-Jie is running out of the old FHD kits, we were thinking of bringing the WQHD kits, which has been finished testing (It won't flicker like the T420/T430 non-s kits).
